RHA Gallery Multi-Sensory Experience & 2 Upcoming Concerts

Happy Monday evening folks!

I hope Autumn 2023 is treating you well.

I have 3 upcoming events I'd like to tell you about - one relates to art and the other two are concerts!

ART

This Wednesday, 1pm at the RHA Gallery, Ely Place,

come along to a multi-sensory experience of ....

Cosmic Wetness by Karen Donellan at the RHA,

Artist Karen Donnellan and I will bring you through an experience of her work with a blend of sound art, audio-description, braille and tactile pieces all to make the exhibition come to life beyond the visual. This is particularly suitable for visually impaired and blind people, but actually is a fun way for anyone to experience Karen's work!

Karen's work is very exciting and contemporary.  She's  a multi-disciplinary artist working with glass, crystals, found objects, and much, much more on ideas around "that which cannot be physically held." (Interesting for us VI people!) And also "Pleasure Activism,  The Politics of Feeling Good." (Also piqued my interest from the disability campaigning.)  Read more about her here

Karen greeted my every suggestion with delight - and "let's do it!!!" And the RHA responded with support and willingness - so this is a good news, disability led access story!
