April 2015: International Jazz Day Tour to the Dominican Republic .....

In preparation for their upcoming tour to the Dominican Republic and Paris: The Emilie Conway Trio with pianist Johnny Taylor & bassist Damian Evans,

Yes, it's true ! We are in Ranelagh Arts Centre this Sat because we are also performing in the Dominican Republic .. and Paris ..! Though I almost still can't believe it.

Last autumn I was contacted by Dr Carlos Francisco Elias of Jazzomania, radio program in the Dominican Republic. The producers had found my music on the web and had been playing it and well.. It was being well received.....

.....Which led to the invitation to perform at Jazzomania Jazz Festival in April 2015 celebrating 21 Years of Jazzomania.

SO NOW, my trio and I leave 23 April for two performances: a concert @ Palacio Belles Artes, April 27 & a smaller recital concert at Hotel Bellini on April 28, where we are staying.

And then we go on to Paris where we have been invited to give a concert in Paris for International Jazz Day on April 30th at Cafe Universel where I performed with local musicians 2 years ago.

The unfolding of the possibility of such a trip, the invitation, the opportunity, the dedication of a small number of people to making it all happen has been and is being amazing and incredible and I guess, in one way, it hasn't even begun yet! Well, we'll give it a pre- start at Ranelagh Arts Centre this Saturday! ........
